I got this project i need to do for a class and I am getting very frustrated with it, because i am not a music person.

The thing is we gotta find theme songs for two characters form an epic Beowulf, here are short descriptions of them:

Grendel: a monster. Every night he goes to the castle and eats the people there, tears them to pieces. Has claws, fangs. A real evil doer, eventually drives everyone out of the castle. Then Beowulf comes and kills him by ripping his arm and shoulder off.

Example of a song: You rock me all night long

Beowulf: a hero. Very strong and very courageous. Fights Grendel without amour or weapons and defeats him.

Example of a song: I need a hero

The songs dont nessasarily have to be about a monster, justmaybe about something evil, or some body doing something at night.

As i said above Im not a music person, i mean i listen to music, but not very oftem and i dont know tha names of the songs or the singers.

I know there are music ppl and creative ppl here and u just gotta help me with this! Just tell me the names of the songs, a link to a site with its text and/or the song itself would be greatly appreciated!

Umm...it sounds like you've already picked your songs..

Anyway, I would choose "Dances of the Young Girls", a movement from Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" for the Grendel character.

This is a pretty easy request. Just go out and rent some movies and check the credits for theme songs. A good example of the evil stuff should be obvious with darker sounding music.... You could always pick something like Metallica's "Of Wolf and Man". And for good you could pick something like the batman theme It's not so much about being a music person as it is stealing what other people have already used. Just see what you can find. I don't particularly like those examples because real theme songs shouldn't have words. They should be all instrumental and help you feel the characters' struggles through the music. You can steal my words on that one too and wow your professor. Good luck.

Rolling Stones - painted black
Tool - Stinkfist
Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Disturbed - Down with the Sickness
Godsmack - Keep Away (or almost any Godsmack song for that matter)
