Need help w 4770 K capacitors protection

I need help with the following , I delidded 4770 K need to find what type of coating should I use to protect the capacitors next to the Die as I will apply CLM .your help is greatly appreciated thank you

You mean Electrical Tape is OK ? even if I go at 4.8 GHZ. Would heat be an issue?

collaboratory liquid metal. It works the best for DIE to IHS it acts like like a solder

I used clear packing tape, cut out a rectangle hole in the middle of a peice then placed it on the cpu.

Another question are you getting high temps or those caps dont get as hot as the Die which is what I assume otherwise you would have some melting tape

I used nothing. If you follow the directions, you don't use too much and it doesn't go anywhere.

The capacitors don't get hot.
they are just for filtering

long as you got good connection from the die to the heatsink that's all that really matters when it comes to heat.

One reason I opted to cover the whole top on my AMD cpu was because they have many more caps than the intel ones and the caps are taller (ie: possible contact with the heatsink if a little pressure is applied)

A little peice of scotch tape over that row of caps would be plenty fine imo if you just wanted to avoid sloppy TIM from getting on them.

Same here. A steady hand and a bit of luck is enough to avoid damage
