need help w/ new PC

This is what I Have for my new computer so far. As you can see, there are lots of things i don't know much about, and I plan on reading the FAQ's after I post this. Any suggestions are welcome, and i have not bought any of the parts yet. I'm not sure if everything is compatible, but hopefully you will be able to help me out. Suggestions ...

Hmm, OCZ ram may not be a good idea, since the company has shady business practices. It might be better to pay more for Samsung 2700 or Corsair XMS.

On the WD 80gig hard drive, make sure it's the 800JB. As for the CPU, lower 1800+ chips are a lot cheaper, and overclocking might be quite fun If you want, you can get a T-bred now.

Motherboard: what kind do you want? One with lotsa cool integrated stuff or something more bare? What about costs?
Speakers: I heard that the Logitech Z560's are good, but I haven't heard them.
Case: Toms Hardware has a cool guide on cases. Take a look here.
WinXP: Pro has more features, but you may not need them. Be sure you're getting an OEM disk, which is cheaper than retail disks.
Network: many boards have integrated lan. If not, I don't think there is a large gap between cheap $5-10 generic cards and expensive 3Com905TX cards.

I agree about the ram.
Also, the WD Hard Drive is too expensive. You can get the SE version of that drive at Newegg for considerably less.

OCZ ram is really just Samsung RAM (IIRC from some RAM review page). So, just get Samsung.
