Need help w/ Web Server

Not sure where to post this at all- hopefully I can get my questions answered here.

This is kind of time sensitive and probably pretty easy for some- I usually google and read to figure out this kind of stuff, but I keep getting confused.

I have www.mydomain.com/developmentfolder where i've developed a site. Its hosted on Target Domain.

I own www.futurehomedomain.com on go daddy. I want "futurehomedomain" to be pointed to the development folder. I'd like to host it in that folder. I don't know how to set up the aliasing, etc.

I've added the futurehomedomain as a hosted site in Target Domain with the root folder as development folder.

How do I set the domain registrar to point to that dev folder? Does that make sense? I want it to display as "futurehomedomain" ... will I need to adjust wordpress permalinks?

I really don't want to purchase hosting at godaddy and migrate the site. Is that what I really should do?

Would there be a better forum section to post this in?

I was able to forward the domain to the development folder with masking enabled. It works, but it doesn't seem like the best solution. Maybe it is.

I think you have to contact Target Domain.
