need help with a prank

I'm usually spot on and full of ideas in the prank department. But lately my creativity in this department's been uber low. Here's the setup, my roommate's GF comes over Monday and they do this silly ass thing they call "Random Movie Monday" He has an XBMC (Media Center) setup I did for him and the skin he uses has a feature where it pick's a random movie that hasn't been watched from the library and play it. They do this every Monday night, well I've decided to "tinker" with the code so the random movie will actually be one I specify. Now I don't want to do something boring and easy like have it play gay porn. I'm trying to come up with a video that'll really stand out. I'm also going to set up a script that runs he presses the play button which will disable his MCE remote completly so he won't be able stop the movie. Well not without getting up, opening the cabinet the PC's in and pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds to shut it off. I suspect since he'll probably fumble with the remote for at least 15 seconds trying to get it to work. I could get a solid 60 seconds of video before it's shut off. Once the TV is on I will make sure to hide his TV remote so he can't simply turn the TV off.

Like I said no porn, that's too simple, and I don't want anything that shows people dying or something. I want to mess with them but not take it too far.

His GF has Beiber fever, it would get a WTF out of him, but she would be thrilled. A few years ago I Rick Rolled her and all she said is "wow I use to love that song!" and she didn't stop singing it around me for what seemed like a month. Even after I explained to her that it wasn't a good thing to be Rick Rolled, she said "why not it's an awesome song" While your idea would generally be a solid one, it would probably back fire and she wouldn't stop talking about him for a week lol.

Okay, the *ultimate* troll would be to cut several thematically similar movies together (while dropping key scenes), so that they would get to the end of two hours and have watched a movie with no climax, cohesive plot, or conclusion.

Then, end it with fake closing credits giving yourself most (but not all) of the major production roles.

I had to sit through the first one of those once, since I offered to take my youngest brother to a movie of his choice on his birthday, and that's what he picked. It was easily the worst movie I've ever seen.

Yeah I would do the cutting thing.

Start with a movie that neither have seen, that starts out great, and has a great hook. You want them to be very interested. Let it play for half an hour, then make it cut to something completely unrelated. They will be waiting for it to go back to the main plot. Let that go for an hour, then roll the credits. Put a shot of something like a dong, goatse or lemon party just before the credits roll.

EDIT: Or do what khon said, but make sure japanese no subtitles.

EDIT 2: Even better, make up your own subtitles. Make it up as you go along, making sure the plot makes absolutely zero sense. Nada. Nilch

Thanks for the splicing movie thing So, I think I got a great set up. A few months ago we were talking about the movie Scream and both told me they hadn't seen any of them. I just happen to own 1-3 so I'm going to edit them all into 1 movie that'll WTF both of them. I'm still on the fence about doing something that will absolutely give away what I did, like changing the credit. A great troll job would be me leaving them thinking they had watched Scream 1 and just being totally confused as fuck. BUT, he went clubbing tonight and when he came home I guess he just didn't care and he started to sing in the shower. I grabbed my XLR studio mic and recorded him. He sang 2 songs. I Would Do Anything For Love (like half of it) and when he got out he absolutely belted out I'll Always Love You. He came out a few minutes later and talk to me, he was totally oblivious to what I did. And he was clearly still shit faced.

So if I make it an obvious splice job I plan make it end with the ending from The Bodyguard and cut into custom credits complete with him singing the song lol. The mic picked it up pretty good, I just boosted the DB's in Cool Edit and you can hear every word pretty clearly. And while I'm not one to talk because I can't sing, he has a fucking horrible voice. I'm lazy so I doubt I can have this done by this Monday, maybe not even by the next. But before too much longer they're getting mega trolled. I think doing half a movie then cutting to something completely different would be damn funny, but with a movie + 2 sequels I think I could turn it into a movie they'd think was real, maybe. Well unless of course I go with the "alternate ending" with Whitney on the run way in the plan about to fly off and Kevin Costner chasing her down.
