My dad bought a stainless Kitchenaid grill a few years ago. It was around $850, about the same price as a similar Weber. THAT was a nice grill. It's still in great shape inside and out, and it has a nice, even heating surface. I want one.
I just think there's some serious grill snobs around here. My dad has had his char-broil grill for 7 years now. Granted, it wasn't the cheap bottom of the barrel version, probably under $200 though. He covers it after use, cleans it, and doesn't even put it away for winter. Don't think you could really ask more from $200.

I just picked up super old, no-rust Weber Genesis 1000XL from craigslist for $35! Can't wait to clean and fix it up! great deal. Even came with a full gas tank!
In other news, if you don't care about quality and just want something to hold you over, I'm sure any model from the big retails stores in your budget will be fine. Just don't expect them to last.
