Need help with iTunes possibly spelling a song wrong.

This is just weird.

At the beginning of October I bought Lady Antebellum's new album 747 (Deluxe).
I loaded it into iTunes (12.0.1.26) the day I got it then put the CD away. I have listened to the album many times now and its great but I noticed song #3's name is 'Lay With Me' however if you heard the song it is clearly 'Lie With Me' so this morning I Googled up Lie and Lay just to be sure then I went to Amazon to read the reviews and see if anyone else noticed this spelling error and I found nothing but i noticed the song was 'Lie With Me' at Amazon so I pulled out my CD and sure enough its spelled correctly so either the spelling is wrong on the CD itself or iTunes misspelled it.

What is going on here? Thanks in advance.

I'm not really seeing the problem here. Fire up iTunes, rename the song, resync any devices you loaded it on, problem fixed.

Yeah I hear ya, I was just kinda wondering how the misspelling happened because I have never had this happen before.

Just for the heck of it I thought id try deleting the album and loading it in iTunes again and there it is. I am curious where the misspelling is happening, is it the CD itself or iTunes? Oh well no biggie, I will just correct the spelling. Or I suppose I can call Amazon up and tell them my CD is defective.:biggrin: ...just kidding of course.

maybe someone messed up the meta tagging? it shows correct when you go to itunes to try to buy it

Whichever CD database iTunes is pulling titles from (Gracenote?) has some wrong info in it.
