Need Help with V5 5500 and FSAA problem

I need need help figuring out a problem with FSAA on my V5 5500.
I can only play MS CFS (1), Rogue Squadron, Command and conquer with my V% set at single chip.

If FSAA is enabled at all, Fastes, 2x or 4x My computer hangs with a scrambled screen when I launch the game. with CFS, I can get to the menu an play missions from a window but if I go to full screen mode it immediately hangs with a scrambled. The same results are obtained as soon as the game is launched with the other games with FSAA enabled.

Another problem shows up in Rouge Squadron even with single chip selected. The game runs choppy, ther are 2 targeting crosshairs and the picture quality is poor.

Any help woulld be greatly appreciated.

can you be absolutely sure that the V5 is working in dual chip mode on other games? do you have benchmarks to show? what driver and OS are you using?

As a matter of fact so far i had tried out 4 games and none have worked with FSAA enabled. they work in single chip mode only and one, Rouge Squadron, has problem even then.

OS IS windows ME and driver are the latest from 3DFX's Website,( not the beta ones though)

No benchmarks. I don't have any benchmarking applications. any suggestions?

try different drivers (3dfx1.04.01 betas)
you just get this card?
try underclocking the card to something like 150 and see if the problem goes away
ever try the card out in a different system, to see if the card is bad or if there is problem with your system.
conflict with the sound card? IRQ's

Yep, Just got it. First VOoodoo since I had a MonsterII.

I haven't underclocked it yet, gues thats something I can try. I was planing on trying the Beta drivers tomorrow. I'll check your links as well
