Need integers kept as '01' instead of '1'

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep my numbers in sets of two digits. Using mySQL.

Is there a datatype that supports this? The max I want is 99, but I just want to get the most efficient datatype as possible. I'm tempted to just use smallint, and format it after the fact.

So if not a datatype for it, and it'd be better to just have mySQL format a smallint, what function would be best to make the format?

I agree with this. Put verification logic in your app to restrict the range.

Yes don't store them with the zero padded. Just store them as straight integers and let the application be responsible for padding the zeroes.

I think was already stated 3x in this thread, sorry.
