need mode power

I have an ANTEC 1440B case with the std 400 watt power supply. I am planning on running 15 LVD drives in a raid setup. THe motherboard is INTEL STL2 (dual PIII, 933). what are my options for more power. How much is required for such a setup? Can I splice two power supplies to get more power? or any vendors with bigger power supplies?

i need more than 700 watts of power. Is there a way to use two PSU in a system if I can physically fit them in. Like can I use two truepower 550 from Antec.

How can i force second power supply to supply power even though it is not plugged in to motherboard.

low voltage differential, its a type of scsi drive. this probably means he is using a bunch of u160 drives

look on the psu's power connector. to power on the psu you have to connect the green wire to one of the many black ground wires. if you are going to really do this for a system you will probably want to wire up a switch to those 2 wires so that you have an on/off switch

any ideas

the easiest way is to use an ATX and an AT, and just placec the AT hard-switch behind the ATX button (or vise versa); use the AT for the drives and the ATX for the board (obviously).

oh yea, i forgot to say -- my way is for if both psu's are ATX
