i've tried messing around with my graphics card options such as vsync, triple buffering, and all that stuff. haven't ever been on a forum and asked for somewhat professional help so that is what i've decided to do. i've also been using gamebooster and was wondering if any of you recommend having that or if i shouldn't even use that as it doesn't help out that much. i generally just play counter-strike 1.6, i do know my graphics card is terrible but maybe there is a way to get somewhat good fps.

i've set all my 3d options on the graphics card to default hoping you can give me the correct settings. i've already read the page below but would just like someone to give me the correct settings so i know i'm good to go. i also like to play in windowed mode if that has anything to do with the flipping policy.

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-030506.htm

if there is any other pictures or information you need please let me know and i will get it for you right away. below are the options offered for the 3d options.

asynchronous flip - off, on
triple buffering - default, on, off
flipping policy - flip, blit
depth buffer bit depth - 16 bit, 32 bit
force S3TC texture compression - off, on
force FXT1 texture compression - off, on
driver memory footprint - normal, low, high
texture color depth - desktop color depth, 16 bits per texel, 32 bits per texel
anisotropic filtering - application control, on, off

Sorry to discourage you, but that is not really a gaming laptop at all. It looks like you have a single core celeron, with integrated graphics on the motherboard.

You just dont have the CPU or graphics hardware to play modern games. Causual games or games from several years ago may be playable, but you will have to set everything to minimum probably.

I have used gamebooster also. In theory it sounds great, but I could not really see any difference in framerate when using it.

well thanks for the fast reply. counter-strike is about ten years old and doesn't need a lot to run it. i run it somewhat smooth but want someone to give me the correct 3d options that i listed. do you have any idea on what those should be? i would greatly appreciate it.

for best performance but lower image quality, just turn everything off.. async-off(think that also would ignor fliping then) vsync-off, tripple buffr-off, anistropic filter-off, compression-off, all buffers -16bit.

to be honest tho im guessing the biggest performance increase fps wise in CS, aside from running 16bit mode, would be running it off XP instead of 7, and Using DX9 instead of DX11... I know aswell, thy are backward compatable thats y ur able to run it. someone correct me if im wrong, but i think most performance hogs i think will agree, the application runs optimally on the same software and drivers developted in the aplications prime. Granted that would be irrelavant if you were running it on a graphic capable system, but i think your just trying to reach about 60fps or something playable.

EDIT- oh yeah last note forgot- if your running windowed mode, and want 16bit, you might have to run Desktop color depth at 16bit aswell

Looks like jolancer answered your question about specific settings. I am not that familiar with the intel integrated settings, so I would defer to his answer.
