Hi all

Am looking for some new headphones as one of speakers on mine finally died

Currently using a pair of Logitech Precision PC
Which are larger than normal and open air

I wear glasses and have a difficult time wearing normal headphones as the dig my glasses into my head

Are there other one out there similar to what I have?
Or should I just find another pair?

Thanks for any help

What music do you listen to (specific artist and genres helpful)? What's your budget?

Are your sound files loseless or otherwise high quality loseless? Do you have a dedicated sound card, or do you just plug it in?

These are still very popular if you're in the market for a relatively cheap ~$100 class phone.

I'm not the worlds greatest fan but they're decent. The big deal with A-T is their '3D wing' system which takes a good deal of the weight on a pair of suspended pads which are supported on the top sides of your head. As a result the spring on the earpads don't clamp too much.

Koss PortaPro have temple pads, and some angle adjustment, that can help with that (and, give them a decent amp, and they'll sound good for the cost).

Past that, look for headphones with big cushy pads (such as the linked ATs), that can conform you your glasses. If they are wire-frame, you can get sealed headphones. If the arms are thick, stick to open headphones.

Let me try and answer some of the questions
should have put more info in OP sorry about that

I use headphones for almost everything when I want sound
I play most games and such with no audio at all and turn on captions when available

Do use them for music and listening to tv while I am working sometimes

Not looking to spend more than say 50 at the most
The ones I have now where I think 30 and have lasted me 6 years or so as they don't get used alot

Is there a good retail place that has ones I can try on?
Never paid attention if BestBuy had a section for this hopefully they do

BB and the like have good gaming headsets ($80+), but that's about it, IME, unless you want to pay too much for Beats (not bad, actually, just overpriced due to being fashion accessories).

My PortaPros are nearly 10 years old, and aside from needing one pair of new pads (3 pair cost $5), they're going strong. They don't have 4.5 * out of 1500 reviews for nothing, they don't need a good amp (but the lower mids and lower treble will benefit greatly from one), the angle adjustment allows them to not squish your glasses' arms into your head (or mine, for that matter ), and they meet your budget.

Oh, and a fit tip: spread the band out, get them on your ears, then slide in the headband. Since I started putting them on that way, I've lost no more hair to the headband.

P.S. the volume control sucks, so make sure not to get the version that has it. Also, fakes exist, so only use major/reputable online vendors.

If you're just looking for good bang for the buck, here's a couple of suggestions.

I have the Panasonic pair and I've been pretty happy with mine. They've held up quite nicely so far. I'd like to try the Audio Technica ones but I just haven't so far. I don't know if studio headphones would be something you'd want or not but since you were looking at $50 or below....I figured I'd throw a couple more options out there. Good luck with your shopping!
