what's different between these mustangs and the one you have?
1) I've always wanted a BLUE Mustang.
2) I HATE the Tan interior mine has
3) I want a 6th gear for cruising, badly.
4) Brembo Track Package
5) 3.73 gears from the factory.
Unfortunately, why you'd think late model Mustangs shouldn't be hard to come by, in my area they area. Especially in the configuration I want mine in. The 2012 I listed before is sold, ergo I cannot get it.
I've been in a funk lately because I've owned my Mustang for a little under 6 months and I've gone through 2 alternators, an AC Compressor, and a Fuel Sender and now a potential Transmission issue.
The 1st alternator was replaced because the diode inside went bad, a common issue on the 4.6 Motors. I complained of whining noise, similar to what a worn out power steering pump sounds like, but they stated they could not hear the noise. Less than a month later, I start hearing a LOUD noise coming from the engine. Come to find out the replacement alternator destroyed itself internally and also complained that my fuel level gauge has not worked properly since the first alternator was replaced.
The dealership offers me a lot car to drive while they replace the above items. The lot car is the EXACT same model as mine, but with 20k less miles on it. I drive it around and say "Hey, this car does NOT make the same noise mine has been making".
I go back to the dealer to pick my car up and say hey look your lot car sounds like this, *quiet*, my car sounds like this *whining noise*. Finally get the service adviser to agree he hears the noise. Great! Service Adviser informs me the AC Compressor is bad. They replace it, say the car is ready to go.
I go to pick up the car this time and there is a LOUD ticking noise coming from the bottom of the car. Service Adviser states he never heard it. Again I demonstrate what their Lot Car sounds like and what mine sounds like. Service Adviser agrees he hears the noise.
I get a call today from the Service Adviser stating that the noise is coming from my car's tranny but says they'd have to take a close look but the sales guys want their lot car back. He tells me to come bring the lot car back, pick up my car, and bring it back Monday and they will see about sticking me in a rental car.
I disagree with this, for a number of reasons.
The dealer that is working on my car, is a branch of the dealer 50 miles away I bought the car from.
I speak to someone at the original dealer 50 miles away and say this isn't going to work because I have to take a trip tomorrow and do not want to drive my car a couple hundred miles with potentially a bad tranny. They agree to take my car in at the main dealer lot and give me one of their lot cars until they can asses what is wrong with mine.
On my way up to the dealer, I get the car to 80 MPH and the car starts shaking. Just super.
So in essence, I'm tired of this crap and Navy Federal approved me for one of these cars. But now since I have no idea when the car will be fixed, I cannot make it out to Texas anyway. I settled on this car after 3 months of searching and refuse to settle again. I wish I just had better luck with cars.
