Need ping utility with alarm.

Hi I've got a site that for some reason timesout once in awhile. I was wondering if there was a free ping utility that has an audible alarm when it times out.

Whats up gold. Audible, email, page, sms etc are all notification methods.

I use IPMonitor (although not free). I'll vouch for Whats up gold. I have not used it but have been recommended to do so by several others. Seeing as how it's already got 2 mentions here, I'll put in a 3rd.

Pingdom.com will let you monitor 1 site with e-mail or SMS notification for free.

I use Whats Up Gold v11. It works pretty well, but for some reason, there seems to be a lot more false-positives than previous versions.

Other than that, it monitors all of my equipment, gives me utilization graphs, and sends email and SMS messages when there are problems. Works for me.
