Need RAM feedback, 2GB kit DDR

STORY:I would like to upgrade my PC but to do so I need to be 100% sure that the things I would like to get are worth of my money.

My brief current specs:
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
OCZ Plat 2x512mb Rev2

I would like this to be the last upgrade for my PC until I will build a new one, in a few years or so

Lets get down to business
I would like to get 4600+ since it is REALLY cheap now and get a set of 2Gb kit for future and present games.

AMD X2 4600+

Which one of these should I get?
OCZ PC-4000 DDR500 Platinum XTC 2GB 3-3-3-8
OCZ 2Gb PC3200 Plat XTC 2-3-2-5
OCZ PC-4000 XTC 2GB(2X1024MB)

Now here is a thing, I would like to keep my 1Gb kit because I doubt I will be able sell to for a good price. Also, my motherboard manual says it is better to have the SAME cas latency and the SAME vendor. And it is betetr to have the RAM even on both sides(a1+a2=b1+b2).

I am leaning more to 2-3-2-5 kit because its PC3200, nearly the same timings as one I have and it should overclock quite nicely together.(?)

Please give me some feedback and your reasoning.

The PC3200 is probably the best bet unless you're overclocking. The PC4000 can take higher Mhz but at the compromise of worse timings.

If you're going to use 4 sticks you will have to set the RAM to match otherwise you risk instability. You will also have to run at 2T. There's no point getting PC4000 if you're going to stick in some PC3200 sticks as well as you will have to run all the sticks at PC3200 speeds anyway.

Lets assume I will not be using the 1GB I currently have, which RAM should I buy. Timings dont matter alot in games. Im kinda thinkingIll need around 240-250MHz to push the CPU.

I personally own the 2x1GB OCZ Gold GX PC4000 kit and I LOVE it... could not be happier.

The PC4000 will let you push the FSB higher on the CPU. I had some 3200 and couldn't get above 270 FSB - with the PC4000 I could push to 311 (prob higher still but the CPU crapped out at that point).

Don't use the other 1GB unless you really really need it (which I don't think u will)

I thought about it, and I will not use the gig I have since it will just cause problems. Ill try to sell it, same goes with my 3500+

Its almost like PC4000 Plat EB but with 3-3-3-8 instead of 3-3-2-8 and it has those nice looking heatspreaders which probably cools the modules faster. Plus the price is perfect for me.
