they all work perfectly fine in my experience... and I've only bought generic ones in the last 2 years. I just go for the best deal when it comes to CDRs. Different story for DVDRs.
I still religiously look for the 'made in Japan' cdrs. The Taiwan and Indian cdrs have quality problems, imo, and they don't last because of it. Whatever CDR you get, look for a glossy label side - some even have a nice coating. If the labeling comes off a cdr, you lose data..
