In case you want to add to the 90 that you got at CUSA last week. BB.com says they are 16x but I think it's been this way for some time and they should be 48x, I know they are in store for sure.

I've never ordered these online from BB but IIRC, this has come up before and ppl have said that 16x would be pretty rare nowadays. Hopefully someone else can confirm for you. You could always return/exchange in store in they are 16x. But yes, in store would be 48x for sure.

Of course, OMAX had 16x Hi-Val last week, I wonder where they dug those up.

Just picked some up in-store and they are 48X speed. Reg. price is 17.99, on sale for 12.99 with $8 MIR until 8/9. Very nice find, gentlemen.

I ordered 100 from the BestBuy.com deal about a month ago. Incidentally, my rebate was denied because I sent in a printed copy of the online receipt. It was approved after I faxed over the packing slip.

This is not a bad deal (comparable to the previous 100 pack deal). I think Best Buy goes as low as $2.99 after MIR for a Fuji spindle every now and then.

The last batch of Fuji's I got was 16x discs in a 48x wrapper. I tried the discs in 3 different machines with a bunch of apps and none would burn beyond 16x in any of them. That's happened to a lot of people, Fuji must have bought a bad batch. I bitched to Fuji and they offered to replace the discs with true 48x CDs, but it wasn't worth the effort of boxing them up and mailing them into Fuji. Nice customer service to even offer, but I'm holding off buying Fujis for a while until this gets sorted out. There are still too many of the 16x spindles out there marked 48x, so I'll look for other TY brands for a bit.

Well, since it's a mfr's rebate, it will be a huge YMMV. If CC has them, I've had luck PM'ing AR prices there, but that was with a store specific rebate.

They still had plenty of them at my local b&m. I'd guess about a thousand spindles. And my local CC doesn't carry Fuji, at least I didnt see any at the store I went to.

In the last 6-8 months I must have gone through, without exaggeration, 500+ Fujis, nearly all bought at BB, and haven't had a problem with any of them. None have been 16x (mislabeled or otherwise) and many were bought online, where the website listed them as 16x.

A tip-if you are buying online, don't have instore pickup unless you have an hour or more to kill picking them up. BB's serivce desk is extremely slow. Get them shipped-especially if the shipping is free. Another tip-do the rebate online, its faster.

I have had the best of luck with Fuji's. They do not give me any car CD player compatibility problems as most all of the Taiwan blanks have. It is what I continue to buy every time a deal comes around.

I'm fairly sure it's plain silver but not sure about the rebates. The price is 35 - 10IR - 15MIR. I dont' know how many rebates are involved yet.
