Just got a Lego Starwars (PC) for my son. But...after playing it a bit, I realize that this game *really* needs gamepads, rather than trying to share the keyboard.

So...looking for USB gamepads, looking for the *value* leader in the marketplace.

TIA,

Logitech and Saitek make some nice ones. If I wasn't already using my XBox controller to play PC games, I'd probably get the XBox style gamepad that Logitech makes. It actually looks a bit more solidly built than the stock XBox S controller. I personally don't like PS style ones because of the placement of the top trigger buttons, but they make those as well I would think.

if you have PS2 or XBOX controllers already, just ebay for an adapter, that way you will get 2 controllers for ~10 bucks (get a double adapteR)

Get one of those old school Gravis Gamepads. Those were phenominal in their time.

Thanks folks...no console systems at our house. (You'd think that 4 pcs plus my (work) laptop would be enough!)

I'm looking at the Logitech Wireless Rumblepad 2 and Precision Gamepad controllers. Provide some choice for the smaller hands, and saving a bit. Also might be nice for those games that support force feedback.

I own a 'Logitech Wireless Rumblepad 2' and it's quite nice. I wouldn't say it has an astonishing vibration built into it but it's okay, my xbox's controllers do a much better job in that regard. It's a bit small I would say but hey, it was meant for kids... hehe... the good old first series Xbox controllers, I love them, incredibly big they are.

I just bought a Logitech Rumblepad through amazon.com yesterday, they have a nice special going on right now. I have heard nothing but good things about this gamepad

Logitech Dual Action GamePad

I own that one. Got it on sale for $15 at CircuitCity a while ago. It usually lists for around $20, I believe. I use it for Madden NFL 2006, GTA III and Vice CIty, and with my SNES Emulator. Works great.

Wouldnt recommend this one for kids. Reviews all rate it poorly for durability. I think thats why Logitech put out the Rumblepad. It's almost identical physically, but less prone to damage.

Thanks for the input everyone. I was all set on brand-new Wireless Rumble Pad II and a Precision Controlller, but then I went to *bay.

Got a Wireless Rumblepad and a wired Wingman Rumblepad. Should be here in a couple of days, before he's finished the whole game I hope!
