Got a question about the Sports Authority deal....

I bought an item last week online - golf set for my dad....
Now the coupon is here... another 25% off..

I called customer service and they said they can not retroactively
give me the discount ... I would have to return and rebuy the item this weekend.
To do that is a pain in the butt, and the shipping (~$15) makes it not worth it. (This item did not qualify for free shipping)

Anyone have any ideas or am I just out of luck..

Thanks Render! I just bought a Image 10.6QL with this discount. Thanks! I've been eyeing this treadmill for a while and this discount brought it down to $1,049.99 from $1,399.99. That's a substanstial savings! It's a great deal too because Sports Authority has free shipping, which saved me another $100 and a broken back. This thing weighs about 300 lbs.

I decided to use a MSN wallet for this purchase and I have a slight problem. Since I bought it through MSN on the checkout, Sports Authority has no record of this sale on their site. I can't even log in and check my order or delivery. Is there any way to check on this or tie this order that I made through MSN on Sports Authority's site to Sports Authority? I just wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

Are you kidding me? I thought that every store that has a presense in your state has to charge sales tax? That would be awesome if I didn't have to pay tax on this because it would be another $75 savings. We'll see.

Update? I ordered an item yesterday. Got the email about the MSN reward. Now I got another email showing an 'updated' reward based on the price of the item (no shipping) rather than the price of the item, minus 25, plus shipping. It's an extra dollar back, but I'm worried that this means they'll be charging me full price plus shipping. Guess I'll find out tomorrow worst case.

My wallet shows the max amount of $100 for the $1,049.99 purchase. There isn't much detail though. My receipt for the treadmill still doesn't show any tax, so I don't know if I will be charged tax or not.

I ordered a table hockey setup tonight using this discount. Unfortunately got stuck with $17 in tax (besides State Stores that control all liquor distribution, taxes are the other joy of living in Pennsylvania...) . I can't get into my account on Sports Authority's site, but I did get an updated email from my MSN Wallet and they said that the price was adjusted from $1,049 to $1,399. I have no idea what that means. It doesn't matter either way with my MSN Wallet because I maxed it at $100 with either price. I just hope that Sports Authority didn't yank my 25% discount. If they did, they can cancel the delivery because I'm not paying $1,399.

Can anyone get into their Sports Authority account to see if they pulled your 25% discount?
