Hey guys I posted a topic similar to this before but no one responded. I need help cooling my system. I have an Aspire x-dreamer case with a mobile Barton o/ced to 2.4ghz @ 1.75vcore. When the case is closed, I have 7 case fans running (2 Panaflo intakes, 2 panaflo output, 1 side case blowing over cpu, 1 PSU intake, 1 PSU output). I have an ThermalRight ALX-800 running with a 3800RPM 80mm fan and I cleared out all the wiring around the area of the cpu/mem/psu and I also made sure the HS and fan were CLEAN. However, my idle temps at normal room temp. (~80-85F during the summer) are still at 50C cpu and 44C system and loads hover around 55C processor and 46C system (all readings taken from MBM and I verified in bios). I just don't understand what I can do to get this thing cooler short of opening the case and turning on the AC (with AC on case temp stays the same and cpu temp drops to 45C). Why can so many other people get 40-45C load given the same room temps? How can I do the same without doing something exotic like water cooling or phase change? My system is as follows:

22w mobile barton 2200+ at 2.4ghz 1.75vcore
Thermalright ALX-800 w/ TT SmartFan 2 w/ Arctic Silver 2
Biostar M7NCD pro
TT Silent PurePower 480w
1x 40gig maxtor
2x 120gig maxtor
ATI Radeon 8500LE
512mb Kingston Valueram PC3200
SB Audigy
1x DVD-ROM
1x CD-RW
Aspire X-Dreamer mid-tower

P.S. I have some AC filter material over my 3 intake fans to keep the insides clean. Even with these removed my temps don't change all that much.

I have a feeling the people with really good temps don't have to pay an electric bill the only time I"ve been able to get sub 45 load temps with a OC processor was in my old apartment where electric was included in the rent so my apartment stayed at 65C all day lon (in pheonix ) now at my current place in northern az my room is about 78C and I run at 52C Load with a SLK-947

Allright, I just turned on my AC and let my room cool to near freezing temps.... (~50-60F) and MBM STILL reads that my case temp is ~46C and my CPU temp is ~44C. Rechecked this temp with bios and it's correct. I'm now thoroughly convinced that the problem is some sort of miscallibration of the winbond sensor. there's no WAY the case temp is that high. I even checked inside and it's pretty damn cold. Likewise my cpu temp's gotta be lower than this. Also, I seriously doubt my cpu temp can be lower than my case temp. Is there ANY way I can callibrate the sensor to read the correct temp? Anyone have any experience with the M7NCD Pro sensor? According to the MBM website, it uses the Winbond W83627HF chip. Please help. Thanx.

depending on how long you have had this rig you should try blowing all the dust out of it. I recently did this to my heatsink and the top of it was totally covered in dust, blocking most of the air from the fan. my temps went down almost 10 degrees C.

1st try to reapply the heatsink and use a VERY thin layer of Artic Silver. then try this...use only 1 intake fan, and keep the 2 exhaust fans, don't the other fan blowing over the cpu, try to create a vacuum type of deal in your case, where you're blowing out a lot of the hot air and not really bringing in air to the mixture. see if that drops it a bit. you want your strongest fans as exhaust fans.
