Need to Extend Wireless Coverage

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I currently have a wireless network setup. Let me draw you all a picture of my current scenario, and what im trying to do. I know it may end up looking all jacked up but im trying

I currently have this situation where my router is in the middle, and it extends to cover rooms 1 through 24. Now i have another building beside this one. Exact same picture but there is no router in the building. As i walk over to the next building i lose signal. The next building has the same amount of rooms. I have about 24 units in the first building, and all of them get the signal. Its just the other building for which i dont get any signal. Any help in increasing the range, and getting the other 24-26 units with a signal would be greatly appreciated. The second building is seperated by a 8-10 foot road. Any suggestions as to what i need to purchase, or any information you have to pass along would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

does anyone had any experince w/ this? If my wireless network is encrypted, how can i tell it to booster my signal instead my neighbor signal?

Almost all WDS (Repeater) Wireless Routers use MAC address as part of establishing connection. The Repeater unit should have a menu entry that tells it to associate with your Wireless Router MAC.

The best way to go with WDS (without a need for a small fortune) is to use Buffalo entry level 802.11g Wireless Routers. With 3rd party firmware these devices can do WPA in WDS mode.

Using Routers like the Buffalo to work as Extenders (Repeater) cost about the same, it is less expensive, more secure, and performs better than the Lame devices that are sold as Extender only.

WDS cuts the Bandwidth past the Repeating unit into half, in settings that this behavior is a problem, the only way to extend the Wireless is to buy few more Wireless Routers use them as Access Point and connect them with CAT5e to the main Router.

Thanks. i will try to go with Buffalo WHR-G125 from circuit city for $29.99 w/ rebate to use the WDS feature to extend my wireless range w/ my netgear N wireless router to the living room. I will report back w/ the results. If anyone has the instruction or link to how to set this up let me know .thanks

I bought the same thing and added it into the mix with my WRT54G...no more signal issues after that. Best money I've spent in a while. I flashed both of them with DD-WRT to keep things simple. There are easy instruction on the web and in the web interface for DD-WRT.
