Need to find Guarenteed TCCD

I have been looking to buy some RAM for a while on a new build. I had all but settled on the OCZ PC3200 Platinum Rev 2 until they switched over to TCC5. You can still find the Plat Rev 2 with TCCD as long as it doesn't have a revision number, or if it says 1.0 on the box. But unfortunetely I wouldn't have anywhere in town to buy them (that I know of), and I seriously doubt any eTailer will make sure they ship me the correct RAM.

And so - I am open to all other suggestions as long as its TCCD. I know Corsair XMS has used it, as well as Patriot, Geil and a few others. But what I want is to get on a site, ZZF, Newegg, eWiz - and just buy them with peace of mind that I will get TCCD. I would assume the only way to do this is if a specific RAM has not been made with anything but TCCD. Anyone know which RAM uses TCCD and hasn't switched to TCC5 at all?? I also want RAM that I know will last, which was why I wanted OCZ. Corsair ranks up there for me as well, and the whole purpose of this is for overclocking so if you have a review somewhere or if you yourself have personally seen numbers please let me know what they are.

Thanks for the help.

Oh yea I should also mention that I'm looking for less expensive memory. In the same price range as the Plat Rev 2 PC3200. I know they have some PC4800 Elite Series thats guarenteed TCCD but its a lot more expensive. All the others that I've seen that show guarenteed TCCD are all like PC4800 and quite a bit more expensive.

I will check out the XPERT ram kensai. Thanks.

EDIT: Wow geez. I'd never heard of this XPERT stuff, but it looks kind of overkill and its almost $100 more for 2x512 then the OCZ EL Plat Rev 2 PC3200 RAM. Plus it likes like if/when I'd ever want to go to 2 GB with 4xDIMMs, it would be impossible with this stuff.

Thanks for the suggestion, but thats definetely not what I'm looking for.

The Corsair XPERT is very nice and it's guaranteed, but do you really need all the stupid flashy LCD's???

No I definetely don't want those. Plus if you read under the Newegg Reviews people are saying that they don't overclock well.

It might be kind of cool but its definetely not for me - oh and I'm definetely a geek. There just wouldn't be any room if/when you wanted to upgrade either, because those 2 DIMMs will basically take up 4 slots.

If you can give the volts, Winbond will serve you well. If not, TCC5 is great nonetheless. In the OCZ thread, OCZ John said that the TCC5 chips perform as well as, if not better than, their TCCD counterparts. People have regularly hit DDR500 with 2-3-3 timings on the Plat Rev2 modules, and even higher with slightly looser timings. Anand got his up to DDR652 with 2.5-4-3 timings @ 2.9V. And since we all know AMD64 platforms don't care much for timings, I would say that's great.

I think right now the cheapest TCCD + brainpower combo rams are the OCZ EL Plat rev 2 and the Patriot XBL, they are both about $150 after rebate right now, at least at newegg.

But if you want the top stuff, it seems like the geil one pc3200-pc4800 and the g.skill FF are the best you can get.

you're not going to find tccd for the price of the rev2, which is tcc5 now anyway.

tccd isn't even made any more so its not usually binned at ddr400 because its becoming more and more rare.

I have 2X512mb dual channel kit of Mushkin PC4400's that are TCCD's on Brainpowers. Let me know if you're interested in buying them from me. I'm thinking of upgrading to 2GB.
