Need to move to new Web Host - Need recommendaitons

I really need to move hosts soon. Cost is a big factor for me, as my job situation is changing here soon. I need a decent host, mainly for blog and family stuff. What are the recommendations/deals you have seen lately?

Dreamhost is cheap and reliability seems to be improving. Speed is still not spectacular.

What exactly do you need? If it's just for blogging and sharing pictures, My Opera will provide that with 2GB of storage for free.

I do a self-hosted Wordpress blog. I do host some pictures and video as well at times. I do not think it take s a bunch of space/bandwidth, but I do wish my site was faster, that is for sure. I know that you usually get what you pay for, but I am being laid off, and part of finding a job will depend on my blog to host some things.
