Need TV out to work!!!! arghhh

hey I got an ati radeon 9200 se with S-video out,

I don't have the cable, but i have a s-video to rca adapter i am using with a rca cable running to my Toshiba 56 inch HD tv....

LMK plz i got broodwars itching to be played on widescreen

What's your question?

If you want to use s-video, you should be able to use a standard s-video cable from the card to the tv.

I don't know if broodwars supports widescreen.

I know my projector was not able to have a widescreen resolution sent to it via s-video from my 9800pro and I needed to get a component adapter to get the nice resolutions supported.

ahhh ok, my Q is I have s-video out.. but no cable, although i have a s-video->RCA converter, So i convert it and use an rca cable to the tv, now... its does not detect the tv, is there something i can do to detect it? or do i jusr have to use an s-video cable? and i'm, not able to use a converter?

BW is no importance, i have used it before on widescreen...

BW is no importance, i have used it before on widescreen...

If the adapter came with the card, it should work fine. Check all the connections again and make sure the adapter doesn't have any bent pins or anything.

When you go to display properties and then settings, advanced, and 9200se you should be able to set up the tv for use. Do you have your tv on? Try restarting your computer with the cables all connected.

Just so you know, the output is going to look like crap on your tv. I wouldn't use anything less than an s-video connection.

For how cheap they are and the performance it offers over an RCA connection, I think it's totally worth it.

Not all s-video to RCA adapters are the same, it might not be a compatable one.

An s-video cable should work for everything though.

You said you have an HDTV... you may look into getting a card with DVI so you can play it in HD.
