need very QUIET amd psu

Any suggestions? Right now I'm using the stock 300W in my Enlight 7237 and am not happy with its noise.

Get an Enermax Whisper, it's really quite, has dual fans, gold connectors, and is thermal sensor so it will be even more quite if your comp is quite, like at night.

I found the enermax whisper 300w to be louder than my 250w powerman psu by a good amount.

not a whisper by far once the case heats up.

I have also heard that the Enermax's are quite loud. Have you had any experience with Sparkle PSUs? I have heard they have excellent performance, noise-wise as well as on the 5V and 12V rails.

I've got two of the QuietPC 300w PSUs and they are exceptionally quiet. The second one I bought was the revised version with on/off switch (first incarnation didn't have one) and Intel P4 support. Great bits of kit. I wouldn't like to go back to anything else.

Because most hardware reviewers have delta black label 7k rpm fans on their heatsinks, and 4 high revving case fans masking the psu noise.

So, in that case, the enermax is relatively quiet.

But an enermax is something I can hear easily in the next room if the stereo/tv is off.

couldn't be further from the truth. In the last review I read, the author turned off all fans and compared against various models before drawing a conclusion.
