Need your suggestion.

I think I'm going to need a bit of your suggestions here.

My story is, I had Abit BH7 and the northbridge hs fall off (fall of on my ATI AIW ). I didn't know and kept the system running until the system died with a little bit of burnning smell. I then sent board back to Abit for RMA. After I got the new board, I put everything back as before but the system refused to boot (this situation is the same as with old board when I tried to run it). I can access to BIOS set up but everytime it start, it would go only windowXP screen (the first black screen) and then reboot itself. At that rebooting process I see only just a flash of blue screen which I can't tell what the error would be.

I think I already fried something when the first fall off of NB HS but I don't know which. I tested only Video Card and it worked fine in other system. What do you think go wrong CPU or Memory?

Here's a bump for you.

Have you tried setting BIOS to default and see if windows will load?

Would reformating reinstalling be an option? Since you can into BIOS and systems fails loading windows possibly your OS install was hosed when the NB overheated

EDIT: As you can from my sig I don't use XP, but don't you have a "repair" feature you can try?

I would try a different power supply first. Some are available for $12 shipped. It's much cheaper than getting a new board.

Technically, by replacing the board with the same board type, you shouldn't have to repair Windows, but it sounds like this is the case here.
You should do a repair installation of Windows (not a format reinstall, unless you backed up your data first).
