Needed: Dell 1910FP!

Alright guys, I'm here at college... and my room is freakin' small. My NEC 19" isn't going to cut it here, taking up a third of my desk space. My dad told me that he'll get me a Dell LCD monitor because he can apply for the Dell Preferred account and get No Interest for a year.

He already ordered the 17" model! I wanted the 19" and I was willing to pay the difference but he didn't ask me first. Anyway, I figure one of you deal-devils can find me some coupon codes on the 1901FP similar to what was out a few days ago (which brought the 1901FP down to $502 but expired two days ago).

So... what's the cheapest you guys can get me the 1901FP for? Standard pricing at the moment is 10% off at $611.

Sorry... I wouldn't have read the IWANNA thread because its long as hell, and I need this ASAP so I was hoping you guys could help me out - and I need a hot deal, not a used monitor!

I agree and have seen a 17" LCD next to a 19" CRT, they are very similiar in screen size.

chronically insane - My NEC MultiSync FE950+ 19" CRT is a flat-screen... I understand how "curvy screen" 19s can be the same as 17" LCDs... and I understand how a 19" CRT isn't ever really 19" because of how its measured... ramble ramble ramble

nm, yep a 17" lcd is comparable to 19" crt.

just be careful of the ghosting you'll sometimes get while scrolling during web browsing. No one told me about this minor but headache inducing problem when I got my LCD.

There is another factor. LCD's are much sharper in text than CRT, which make them look bigger in screen size.
