I was think of buying the following things to use in my desktop. the parts will be used powerful gaming, (lots of) software programming, and (lots of) vido editing.

I wanted a Pentium D 805 Smithfeild Core Overclocked

I was thinking an IntelBoard but i'm undecided (help would be nice. 12-pin power, ATX 2.03 is OK. referably RAID 0 on 2 Serial ATA 150 ports)

I wanted to use a TV tuner card but i'm still undecided. (help please)

I wanted a AGP 4x/8x Graphics but i'm willing to get PCI Express x16 (Power Adapter Needed) Undecided

I Wanted a Segate Barricuda Hard Drive (x2 in RAID 0) but i'm undecided about the exact model. (Serial ATA 150. prefferably 200 GB Each

XP PRO (i would use linux, but it doesn't have the TV recording support i'd like)

I already own a case, 450 Watt PSU, and CD Drive(s) (looking for a DVD-RW Drive)

Please help me so i don't buy crap parts!

EDIT: Also a Watercooler would be nice (2 80mm fans or 1 120mm fan if internal)

FYI, an E6300 at stock speed is faster than that 805 overclocked 35% for 3.6 GHz. No watercooling needed.

dude, you're getting a dell.

seriously, there's NO WAY you can put together a rig that'll do anything for only $250. Even dell doesn't make comps that cheap. Get the $300 dell which comes with a monitor and you'll be all set.

EDIT: also, do you have any idea how expensive watercooling is? and why the heck would you want something as ancient as AGP? Only high end pci-e cards need power adapters. What kind of games do you plan to play and at what resolution? For $250 you're probably stuck with integrated graphics so you won't be able to do much gaming at all. also, RAID is out of the question unless you're going really high end.

AMD Athlon 64 or Intel Core 2 Duo. Nothing else is even worth considering - especially for gaming, and especially the 805, that thing is just an overpriced heating element.

If you can't afford a dually Athlon or C2D get a single core.

And there is no way you can build a gaming computer for $250. Double it at the very least.
