I'm interested in Asus A52F, it's really amazing but I have read in the config the following

size : 15.6"
type : LED backlight Color Shine, Color-Shine (Glare-type),Asus Splendid Video Intelligent Technology

what Glare-type means? I hope it doesn't glare :|

Glare-type usually means glossy (not matte), which means you will get screen reflections / glare.

IMO, unless you work under a lot of lights (like numerous florescent settings) or in direct sunlight (either outside or near a window) it usually isn't a problem. Furthermore, there are aftermarket coatings / filters you can apply to reduce the problem.

I usually prefer glossy as reflections usually don't bother me, provided that the panel has good enough black levels. If the black levels aren't good, then the slightest amount of glare can make dark scenes in movies and games impossible. I find that matte screen coatings only help so much, and that even with my 2408WFP and EA231WMi, direct sunlight from the window behind me makes some games impossible anyway.
