The Vcore shown in CPUz is impressive if true.

Agreed

x20 multiplier?

And why do some of these processors have more threads than cores? The P4 had this, then it went away, and now it's back again?

wow, and thats only on a 133fsb.

FSB? hmmm... FSB?

My thoughts exactly. Photoshop?

CPUz reporting a FSB for Nehalem isn't exactly surprising considering how unlikely it is that Intel would give the CPUz author a Nehalem system in advance just to get his CPUz program setup already.

Looks like this will be a beast, as i think everyone expected.

The real questions though:

Pricing?
Release dates?
And the big one, will we be able to OC them...

Can't wait for this news to hit the AMD Fanboy forums and we get to see some hilarious posts. Anyways, if these are real jesus that's a beefy CPU, I wonder if it can OC and if so how much!?!?!?!

Too bad noone makes a video card that can even keep up with an overclocked Penryn or Kentsfield. For gamers, these will be mostly useless, unless the new video cards coming out soon are as big of an advance over current cards as the current ones were over the 7 series cards.

edit: At least the nVidia cards will be 512 bit, but that still doesn't guarantee much, since the 2900XT's were, also.

so whats the price estimate on the high end?

Is it going to rival skulltrail?

One of my computers will magically disappear so i will have to replace it.

The last I heard, which was unsubstantiated pricing for the Xeons, was as high as $2,800 or so at the top end.

When are these things going to be available? Early next year? Will they still use DDR SDRAM?

Bah, then that means considering a QX chip, people would about 75% of that.

If we hold the current pricing near.

Wait myo, you mean 2800 for the Full blown SMP line?

That means price should be kept the same as skulltrail. Blah.

I have no idea. It was just a list that went as low as ~$1,100 for the quad @ 2 Ghz, and as high as ~$2,800 for the septo (is that right? 6 cores, anyway) @ ~3 Ghz.

the 3 channel ddr3 is supposed to come out at the end of 2008 to the start of 2009. uses DDR3.

the "mainstream" and "value" versions of it, wont come out until 2H 2009 (just delayed today apparently) with dual channel ddr3.

so i think it will be super expensive and only come in the "extrem" and xeon versions at first for people with money to burn.

Wow, what a beast.

But a nehalem system would probably be out of reach for the most of us. With DDR3 prices still in the realm of insanity, and that this one is based on the LGA1366 which probably will come as "extreme edition" for the desktop variants. Nehalem based on the LGA1160 (dual channel DDR3 + IMC) is probably what most of us are probably going to get when the prices become much more affordable.
