Have you contacted your local news stations yet? THey might be willing to do a story on you to get the word out. Also have you post fliers up so people know that your dog was stolen and you are trying to find it? I think getting someone who happens to know where the dog is is your best bet right now. They will probably want to help if they see it in their neighbor's yard and then find out that it's stolen.

Why would you need to get messages off a blackberry onto a mac? The messages on a blackberry are better proof that they are real messages than if they were on a computer. Much easier to take blackberry to police than to lug a mac.

You would be very surprised what threatening litigation will get you. Start throwing out words like mental duress and that you will be seeking excessive damages. In control of her kids or not, the idea of losing ones home generally lights a fire under them to get things done.

I agree. Regardless of whatever else you do, definitely do this. It shows that you're preparing to take it to court if need be, and gives you some ground to stand on. Don't do anything foolish or pull pranks, that doesn't do anything to get your dog back, and may actually endanger it.
