I did and it sucked, but what harm is there in it? Making money in music is for the 0.1%; that the nephew quit his job for it makes his musical talent irrelevant. Compounded with the op's confession that he "looked the other way when he did bad things" means he was only setting up the guy for failure. He's one of the quintessential father figures that tries living his life through someone younger, and Fritzo's only sadness seems to be that the nephew is failing to live up to his dreams of being a great musician.

not that I've heard much, but it sounds like the ICP shit I heard when they were 1st coming out. They're freaking rich and make the most god awful horrible rap music out there. So there is hope for OP's nephew to make it in the music biz. If ICP did, anyone can.

He's not my kid, and I only see him once a month or so. My main concern is he has two kids on the way at the same time, and is thinking of quitting the one decent job he's ever had to pursue music instead of supporting his ill-gotten offspring. I posted the sample to show you how incredibly wrong he is. He's in a position where most of his family hates him, and I'm the closest thing he's had to a mentor, but I don't see him enough to make much of an impact.

If he actually had any genuine, marketable talent, I'd be all over supporting him (hell, I'd probably even give him money to pursue it), but he has epic fail written all over him and he just can't see it.
