All I can remember of T4 in theaters was that it was loud. Really loud. Like my ears hurt at the end.

That's why I wear earplugs at theatres... The shit is probably set to make it loud in the middle of the room. Everyone else not in the dead center gets to go deaf.

I should get custom earplugs with a flat attenuation rather than my $0.10 a pop foamies.

It's hard to be optimistic about movies anymore. Most of all, the Terminator franchise.

I didn't even hate T3. I just thought John Connor was poorly cast. Didn't ruin the movie for me.

Terminator: Salvation was absolutely boring and awful.

Should have made a movie about what would have happened in season 3 of SCC if those a-holes hadn't cancelled it.

...........Great show. Lena Headey's on Game of Thrones now, Summer Glau just popped a kid out, no idea where Thomas Dekker is.

The problem with these movies, especially after the end of number 3, is SkyNet is always going to happen, and so is Armageddon. Those events are set in time. So I'm fine with a reboot, because it actually makes sense for the Terminator franchise.

I think it might have been more interesting if SkyNet succeeded in killing Sarah, and then you have the original SkyNet trying to fight an alternate version of itself. And then it starts losing again and sends back another Terminator to stop itself from killing Sarah. Then it loses again to Sarah, John and co, then has a War Games epiphany where it realizes the best solution is just to not play, and it just lets John Connor win in the future.

you know, that might not be a bad idea. have a movie follow the point of view of the terminator. Give it a device that can travel to back to all kinds of alternate timelines until it finds one where it can actually win (which then allows skynet to exist).

*poof*
fight waitress sarah connor and kyle reese. about to get crushed. restart.

*poof*
fight chimpanzee connor and ape motion captured by Arnold. win because finally you got smart and went up against someone who couldn't match your weapons. skynet.

WTF! Why even use Sarah Connor's character if they're going to deviate so much from existing canon?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/29/terminator-genisys_n_6071360.html?ncid=txtlnkusaolp00000592

Twist No. 1? Sarah Connor isn’t the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton's steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991's T2. Rather, the mother of humanity's messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she's been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger's Terminator -- an older T-800 she calls "Pops" -- who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.

What the fu....

Seriously, Jai Courtney? Seeing him in Jack Reacher was quite enough for me.

Or have Skynet prevent John Connor only to have some other leader rise; rinse and repeat in a montage of Skynet playing whack-a-savior until it gives up; having learned the moral of the story. That being something something indomitable human spirit something something desperate grasp at an academy award winning monologue something etc, and that the only winning move is not to play. It then goes back once more to tell itself to simply hide in the internet and leave the humans alone.

I'm pretty sure the Predators were holding back when hunting humans for the challenge. Like a hunter would use a bow and arrow instead of a full automatic. Since even humans were able to defeat quite a number of the most advanced Terminators, I'm sure the Predators would just wipe the floor with them.

You're not beating a TX ( A Terminator killer) In T3 it was just luck that the T850 stuck his nuclear power source in the TX's mouth and blew them both to smithereens.

Trailer looks good. Looks like there's a new terminator. For all those haters, SYSERROR 404 COMMON SENSE NOT FOUND.

The new trailer does nothing two make me want to watch it. There's literally so much they could have chosen to have as the basis for the new Terminator movie but nope, let's just rehash the first two movies.

Or the surprise twist: Pragmatism ensues and it goes back once more to tell itself to steer humanity toward space exploitation so it can set up its industries on the moon before throwing a comet at Earth. Instant ice age wipes out most of humanity, and the brave human terrorists can't do shit to even avenge themselves.

Whatever, the last good Terminator was made decades ago, everything since has just been milking the franchise.

I would rather see a sequel to Edge of Tomorrow than another Terminator movie. Actually, I'm good with anything as long as Emily Blunt is in it.

Predator is flesh and not invisible to an IR seeing Terminator. Take a wild guess. LMAO!

terminator and sky-net is earth-bound. Predator has mastered inter-galactic travel.

Are you really this dumb to not see the clear and present disadvantages that this robot, often killed by puny humans with pellet guns, has when facing the supreme hunter in the universe?

And that was in the '80s. By the time Skynet makes its move to take over Earth, the predator species will be at least 30 years more advanced than it already was.

Assuming a race of sport hunters isn't technologically stagnant, which I would expect them to be.

Not that it would make any difference if the Predators ever really felt threatened. Orbital bombardment would do to Skynet what judgement day did to humanity.

Predators have mastered intergalactic travel for centuries. 30 years would be meaningless to them. They hunt humans with primitive weapons, much like a hunter would use a bow and arrow for the sport of it. If they brought out the advanced stuff, terminators would not stand a chance.
