Nero 5.5 OEM for $12.90 @ GoGamer

Direct Link

Since it's GoGamer, a very reliable dealer, I doubt the software is burner specific.

If you want to be sure, call GoGamer. There's no burner specific requirements listed in the discription on their website, so I would say it works with all burners. GoGamer is very reliable.

I bought an OEM from AccessMicro. They had no idea that it was burner specific and were good about the return. However, it was a hassle. I would expect that most 'OEM' versions are burner specific. It would be worth it to pay a couple of bucks more to get the general release and not have to worry about it. (I think there is another thread for Nero at 19)

BTW, Nero is soooooo goood. That Roxio crap has messed up a few of my machines. (hard to uninstall). Nero is just so clean and reliable.

Very true, Roxio sux the fat one. Cant burn for $hit and extemely hard to work with it in general. Go for Nero, I started using it recently and havent looked back.

Because I live in Alaska. Fedex 2 day is something like $25+. USPS Priority would be less than $5

The only difference between the OEM and retail Nero disks is the serial number. The program CD's are the same.

I surprised everyone doesn't have Nero on CD yet... Don't they come with CD Burners (even OEM ones)?
Do they actually still ship Easy CD Creator or something else with burners? :disgust:

Many of the drives that bundle Nero have a version of Nero that only works with the drive it cam with. I have a TDK that is burner specific with Nero, so I had to get another copy so I could use it with my HP DVD-writer 200e.

The burner specific Nero will work with all drives if you have the correct serial number.

There are back in stock for anyone intrested.

NOTE: NERO OEM is supposed to be sold w/hardware.

I found Nero 5.5 OEM w/Audio Cable here (Inca City) for $8.50 shipped! (UPS GROUND)

I think the audio cable constitutes the hardware obligation.

I already have this software but I'm gonna buy some just to support Nero, a fine company that finally gave me an alternative to EZ CD Creator and Roxio.

I believe that even burner specific nero can be hacked to work with any cd burner. Who knows how to do it?

I think it is the serial number you enter. My friend has the yamaha with t@2. His nero disk looked like mine except the serial was different.

The serial numbers to make it work with any burner are all over the internet. Once you change the serial number you can update to the latest version.
