Well, SoftwareOutlet.com refunded everything and made it right with me at least. They gave me $13.94 back to my Mastercard + $2.07 through PayPal for shipping costs.

Also for those that are still wondering, the serial number won't let you install Nero v6.0, it will just let you update Nero Express to the latest version with the downloaded install from Ahead Software. The serial number from the OEM CD will only update the programs it comes with from the downloadable installation. Nothing more, nothing less.

For what it's worth! After being bitten by Nero 6 express from SoftWareOutlet problem, I bought the retail version of Nero 6 ultra for $79.99 - $10 MIR from Costco. Their rebates are so easy, just type in the info on the website and your done! No orginal UPC's, no copies of receipts.

This just isn't true for everyone. I ordered mine in the beginning, and I was able to download ALL applications from Ahead.com with my serial #. Mine also does not say anything about being for use only with the burner for which it was shipped, or whatever.

Seems like they had at least two different batches of these CDs.
