Nero CD copying question

Before people start telling me that I'm stealing software, I own the software I want to copy and intend to keep the copies. I tend to scratch my CDs because I don't put them away. I have The Sims and all the expansion packs and I want to make copies so I can play with the copies rather than the originals. I know The Sims CDs have bad sectors on them that the game checks for and most CD writing software will skip those sectors when writing. Can Nero copy EVERYTHING on the disk?

No. Get CloneCD.

I second CloneCD, best software to backup cds. Nero is excellent also, but I prefer to use it just for archiving files.

when i try to install clone CD it tells me that because i live in the united states that "amplify weak sectors" is turned off. i believe that is the thing that allows the copying of the bad sectors. is there a way to turn that back on then?

fobside, try going to (1)control panel, (2) under region and language, change it to english, canada.

ok i believe i changed my settings properly and i installed cloneCD but when i try to copy my cd it gives me read errors. is there anything else i have to do to read the sectors and write them properly?

Open the CloneCD Help file and read the FAQ. I believe it says something about all the read errors being common for copy protected CDs. I get them too but the image copy still works, so....

yeah, u might want to turn on fast error skip too if it's taking a long time

well if itll work even if its failing to read sectors, this is taking way too long. theres too many sectors its failing to read. 828, 828, 834, 853, 854, 875...and on and on. I don't think I can sit through 340,000 sectors of this.

oh yeah, amplify weak sectors rules, it allowed me to copy red alert 2 (with safedisc 2), good thing my computer is canadian

that Wolfenstein doesn't like Clone CD though!
Another way to back up a CD is to copy all files (make sure all files are visible under folder options)
then download the no CD crack from www.megagames.com
then put it in the folder and drop them all onto a CD.
