Hey, I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't crap on this thread, AFAIK. In fact, I'm quite interested in this item and may buy it. I have Nero 5.5.9.14, figure I could use Nero 6. I just don't know the ropes. Where on earth did you get the idea that I crapped on this thread? You tried to put me down, saying you felt it a waste of your precious time to read my post. 5 minutes, you say. What gives, man?Originally posted by: Budmantom
Muse,
Perhaps you should post a "hot deal" of your own instead of crapping in other peoples threads.

Yes I did buy it and I have used it(along with dvd-shrink) to back-up my dvd collection. My dvd burner is the NEC 1100A (Dell) and it works great, the user interface is easy to figure out and it looks real slick. I also use it for burning cd's, I have been using Roxio Easy creator 5 platinum but this seems to be a little more user friendly.
I'm sure that I'm not using it to it's full potential but my main goal was to be able to back-up dvd's with this program(and dvd shrink) and I couldn't do that with Roxio. For me it was money well spent and I did use my cc so I don't worry too much about fraud, I also use "google toolbar auto fill" so time wasn't an issue.
How's that for being helpful?

Very helpful indeed! Thanks.
I also use Google Toolbar Autofill - very nice feature. I type very well, but don't remember my CC#, and even so filling out online forms isn't a ton of fun.
Here's a question, and maybe you or someone else can answer it. I see that the OEM version doesn't have Burning Rom 6, while the Deluxe version does. What are the implications of this?
I'm sure I could use this, at the least for video editing with Nero Vision Express 2. The 5.5.9.14 I have now lets me burn CDRWs and CDRs, but I'm going to get a DVD burner, and the one I'm looking at, the NEC 2510a, doesn't work with Nero 5, for burning DVDs (so I'm told). I am a babe in the woods with this stuff (never had a DVD burner), so deciding between OEM and Deluxe version from my perspective, isn't obvious to me (yet). Thanks for the help.

OK, now about this deal, it looks like it includes Nero Burning ROM 6:Originally posted by: Atomics
Just to clarify since this thread was bumped:
I bought 3 of these about 2 months ago, and they do NOT include the Buring Rom app. If you just want copies and images then this will be fine. If you want to build a CD and choose files, I don't think this will do it. I ended up buying a couple copies of Nero from Fry's for $20 AR when they have it on sale (fairly often).
Whether this is a legally licensed copy since it's not bundled with hardware is still unknown.
