Looking for this Ninja game,

All I remember is,

You start out in the forest, and you go Left.. you can jump on trees and throw what I assume to be ninja stars.

Eventually

There's this tower that you'll have to climb sorta, and then different color ninjas show up. like Red, and then I think white.

knowing the NES naming scheme for a ton of their games, it was probably called "Ninja".

NES was the shit, I still have mine. Nothing like blowing in to the cartridge to make it work lol

It did help if the cartridge was dusty, but that's about it, except that it made us feel better when we reseated the cartridge (which is all that we really needed to do).

I know someone that used to regularly clean their NES cart connectors with Acetone. :O

Remember how some people used to call them "tapes"? Like anything that plugged into a box was automatically a "tape".

Of course they were tapes, why else would they have those 'remember to rewind' stickers on them when I rented them from the local video store?

The top loader model makes damn near any NES game work, worth looking into if you're a big NES enthusiast . They were $50 new back in the 90's, though I have no idea what used ones go for on Ebay these days.

Yeah but if someone told you that back in the day you would say whatever watch it work now lol. good times back then

Isn't it strange though that EVERYONE knew about this? No internet to share this silly idea, and yet still it ran rampant throughout everyone who had an NES....

Now that we're older, that seems like such a stupid idea. It does literally NOTHING.

It did in the house I grew up in. We had a dusty old house, and an big Labrador that shed hair everywhere. Blowing it out got most of the hair out of it, but also blew dust and hair back into your face. D:

I think it's cuz we all used to talk to other kids back then, and went over people's houses.

I remember my neighborhood where kids would come outside and play during the summer.

Now, it's DEAD quiet, and I know for fact that there are many children still living around here because of the school bus. But, NO ONE comes outside to play anymore. D:

Not that I'm complaining, since I never played outside either. It's just that times have really changed.

Looks like your rig needs to upgrade to a 2500k or 3570k.
I know, but it still plays anything I throw at it. Its only 1650x1050 but plays all the new stuff ok. Plus, I barely turn it on. More into the 360/ps3 for mindless fun.

As a child I told people blowing into it would just make it worse and help tarnish the connectors. I just tightly shoved the edge of the cart in and out of the connector a few times and shifted it side to side while it was locked down and it usually worked.

Then again one of my favorite "toys" as a 7 year old was my Science Fair 160 in 1 Electronics Project Kit Don't think my mother appreciated ferric chloride stains in my bedroom any time I made "hard copies" of projects...

I need to get a NES in my collection. Been meaning to pick up both a deluxe and power set, the original one with the grey gun, in a mint box, etc. But I hook my old systems up on a RGB monitor, and NES doesn't have that option... sigh. NTSC FTMFL

Neogeo is the bomb as far as retro collecting goes.
