Emulators are way easier than fucking with the hardware.
Just look at the Angry Video game nerd and all the issues he has. Sure its funny when it happens to someone else. But to experience such stress is unpleasant.

Emulators suck.

Try playing Super Metroid or Link to the Past on a Sony PVM RGB CRT monitor via SCART/RGB+sync and Klipsh 2.1 sound system in all it's better than arcade glory.

There is no fucking with the hardware. You plug the connector into the console, and the other end into the monitor. Then you put the cartridge in and hit the power button. Amazing.

You'll never want to see a glitching hitching upscaled blurry emulator version again.

Even PS2 emulation of PS1 games on actual included onboard PS1 hardware sucks. Just as an example, compare FF7 title screen on the same display device on both a real PS1 and a PS2 side by side and witness how jerky and shitty it is on the PS2. It's pretty much impossible to get a maximum score on the roller coaster mini game when playing on a PS2 because the crosshairs jump around so erratically. That's where I first noticed it, and thought maybe it was post processing on my projector and hooked it up to a tube. Nope, same thing. Dug out the real PS1 and it was slick as ice.

Everything you said is just plain wrong.
Given the hatefulness of your post I wont try to correct you. You're obviously more interested in winning than being right.

He does this in every single thread. Give him even the slightest opening to rage about anything modern and he'll go on for days.

Let's stir up some trouble...

TurboGrafx FTW!!!!

First with 16 bit (I believe)
First with CD drive & games (years before SegaCD) (oh, and the CD unit could detach and become a portable music CD player)
First with 5 player games (pretty sure on this)
First with a COLOR handheld that used that same HU cartriges as the console AND had an optional TV tuner attachment. Holy Crap!
and partnered with Pioneer on the LaserActive unit that could play LaserDisk movies, LaserDisk games, TG16 CD & HU Cards, and Sega carts.

They were lightyears ahead of their time, just couldn't beat the juggernaut that was NES back then.

A 6502 isn't 16 bit.

Turbo Express was pretty awesome though.
