C:\>net send /?
The syntax of this command is:

NET SEND {name | * | /DOMAIN[:name] | /USERS} message

net send 127.0.0.1 this is how netsend works

fwiw With any reasonably person its not going across the internet to work because of a firewall or it being disabled.

This is what i tried, and it didn't work:

C:\> net send {blah | * | /66.131.333.62] | /blah} my message went here

blah = name of the computer i'm sending the msg to
66.131.333.62 = ip of person i was sending to (not real, just an example)

Does the recipient have the ability to receive net send? Some people turned theirs off after the onset of the "net send spam"

It's really not that hard!

The address you're thinking about is "127.0.0.1" (it's the "loopback" address).

Not only is that not real, it is not a possible address either. Good luck to anyone who would foolishly try it...

Try email, phone, or a plethora of chat programs before trying NET SEND, because it could be that net send is disable on their end.

I always disable the messenger service, wtf wouldn't you? Does it have any value other than getting neffed on via a windows dialog box with an ok button?
