Hello, I've had my Asus 1000HE for about three months now. The other day, the right side speaker all of a sudden started making what sounds like white noise or a hissing sound. After a while the noise stops, but if I do any activity on the computer that would normally cause a sound (like opening a music file), it starts again. As a clarification, the speakers don't work at all now - the right side just hisses. I've tried plugging in headphones, but the headphones don't work either. Does this mean it's a problem with my motherboard? If the speakers were somehow damaged, would it keep the headphones from working, too?
I uninstalled the audio drivers from device manager and reinstalled them, but that didn't help. I also downloaded the newest audio drivers from Asus, and that made no effect either.
Thanks so much for any help you may be able to provide!
