It works for me but....

How do the plans works?
2-at-a-time ? Limited to 4 DVDs a month.

The other $17.99 plan
3-at-a-time ? Our most popular plan! No monthly limit. 2 week Free Trial.

That depends on what the "point" is for you. I don't have time to watch more than 4 movies a month anyway -- usually fewer. I do like the convenience of having something I want to see on hand whenever I'm ready -- which is never true for PPV.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, "uhh... no...." simply because the $12 plan is

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, "uhh... yes...." simply because the deal actually exists. The thumbsdown is your opinion, but someone else in this very thread already said this is a good deal for their needs. Apparently, you didn't bother to read that, instead you just chose to threadcrap.

It's not a deal since that's been the standard minimal plan for a few months. It comes out to 3 dollars a DVD per a month + tax and that is a terrible deal considering you can find a place that rents them out for less than that.

Blockbuster is far from the "best deal" even though they just reduced their prices again to $14.99.

I have both Netflix and Blockbuster now. Netflix is great!!! Movies come much quicker, so you get more movies per month with Neflix. Plus, 3/4 of the movies in my Blockbuster queue are showing a "long wait" time before shipment. It makes it nearly impossible to plan what you will get next.

My number one movie in my Blockbuster queue has been sitting there for two months!!

The "best deal out there" is by far Netflix ... not even close.

Wow, the 4 movies a month for around 12 bucks has been around for as long as I can remember. I don't see why everyone is having such a hard time grasping the concept of a plan that give you 2 rentals at a time, max of 4 a month --> $11.99 AND ANOTHER OPTION is to have 3 rentals at a time, no max per month --> $17.99. How hard is that?

For any of you who haven't taken the plunge to one of these movie services, DO IT! I've been with Netflix for about 6 months now, and I love it. In fact, match yourself up with a deal on a DVD burner, and let the good times roll! Hellllllo, overpriced TV Series!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is not a FS/FT thread. This is a Hot Deal thread. The threadcrapping rule does not apply. And this, is not a hot deal. Anyone can go to their local neighborhood Hollywood/Blockbuster/Safeway and pay $12 for 4 movies in one month.

A Hot Deal would be the normal 3/4 out at a time and unlimited per month. With BB, I can get 9 in 1 week. Do the math:

9 per week, 4 weeks a month = 36 rentals vs 4 rentals a month

All to save a whopping $3?!?

But besides that, I could understand if Netflix threw a hissy fit over it not being all that hot a deal, but you act as if it's a personal attack on you Relax, take a chill pill and have some egg nog, light on the nogg', heavy on the bourbon.

Give the Blockbuster online service a year and it will surpass Netflix in selection and speed. It's still in its infant stages. Anyway, I'd rather go for the in-store unlimited pass deal, as I live 3 minutes from a Blockbuster and wouldn't have to mess with shipping.

Let me point out the two errors in those statements. Yeah, It actually exist, but it's not a deal. Someone else in this very thread said: "It works for me but....How do the plans works? ". I would venture to guess they meant the link worked for them, but made no mention of it being a "good deal for their needs". Apparently, you didn't bother to comprehend that, instead you just chose to misconstrue it.
