Netflix 3 out at a time plan $1 per month cheaper now.

I got an email yesterday saying that they are lowering the price of the 3 out at a time plan to $16.99 from $17.99 per month.

I checked for a new sign up and its the same price.

Don't know if the other plans changed or not though.

That drop in price resulted in a huge drop in stock price as well.

Many other factors contributed to the stock falling, for example the website was down for a while (indicating possible future reliability problems) and the movie rental industry is becoming more competitive. It's almost never true that stocks behave as simply as X -> Drop. For all we know, the stock would have dropped -more- had they not cut prices.

Either way, unless you're a shareholder, a price cut is always a good thing.

Yea, best plan for me too, so that was a nice surprise. I had the same plan from Blockbuster but switched to Netflix because their MSTK selection is a lot better. Netflix seems a day slower though.

This is the unlimited plan with 1 out at a time (I know you knew that but I wanted to be clear). The 1-at-a-time-2-per-month plan is still $4.99.

They just cut the price on a couple of plans. I have the unlimited 3 at a time plan and got the email as well. My friend has the 2 at a time plan (not sure if it is unlimited) and that price was cut a couple of weeks ago.

Well, I think it's good because over the last couple of months I've basically been thinking about dropping (I've got unlimited 3 out at a time)...because i travel for my job alto and I'm just not using like I once was but, i think a combo of this drop and me getting a Ps3 for blu-ray will keep me around for awhile
