Expand your horizon. There's some great foreign movies. Hollywood isn't the only game.

For me Netflix has a limited shelf life. Once I catch up on the shows and a few movies I want to watch, I find myself browsing endlessly without watching anything so I usually cancel it for 4 or 5 months until there is more stuff I want to catch up on. Right now I'm in a cancelled cycle, there isn't much I haven't seen that I want to watch.

i have netflix and there's some awesome stuff on there like parks and recs, kevin smith stuff, etc. There's also tons of duds on there. I feel like most of my time on netflix is scrolling through all the crap they have.

hulu has some great current shows. great for catching up. their ads and overall movie collection are terrible. they do have some great documentaries and stuff like snowboarding movies on there.

amazon was horrible until they got that hbo deal imo.

there's crunchyroll? if you want to stream anime. bunch of stuff is on youtube too.

I rarely visit hulu. Watching seemingly endless commercials is not what I want to view. And for $8, you still have to watch commercials? shens.

I wish Netflix started a rental service through their streaming setup. I don't know why they havn't done this yet.

Netflix streaming member, $2 rentals. Not a streaming member, $3 or $4 rentals.

They could corner the market but are too stupid to realize it.

I got it for the XBOX a few months ago. So far I've watched a few "old" movies and all eight seasons of Dexter along with Orange is the New Black. Next I'll watch both seasons of House of Cards and then will probably drop it.

My kids get a kick out of the Disney and Nick TV shows they have though.

I'm sure you just came up with a fascinating idea that no one at Netflix has ever considered.

Where is it then?

Amazon, Hulu, Google, hell even Blackberry rents movies. It is the only way to get the latest movies that everyone wants to see but for some reason Netflix doesn't stream them. They must be too reliant on their mail service for revenues. the thing is, it wouldn't eat into the mail delivery service since people that want streaming ... can stream.

Now imagine you don't live in the US.
Netflix in the UK is abysmal. I did a month free trial. Almost nothing worth watching that I haven't seen already TV show wise.
Film selection is awful.

Netflix search is horrible and so is their selection. But I can't complain because I got like 10 years free from that botched Radioshack fiasco.

Does anyone know why the Simpsons aren't on Netflix?

Same reason Game of Thrones is not. Fox wanted to keep it for themselves.

Netflix says "hey, we'd like to show this, how much?"

Owner says either "nope" or "eleventy billion dolla a year!"

Netflix says either "D'OH!" or "too much D'OH!"

I'm caught up on most of the TV shows I wanted to watch on Netflix. I'm going to cancel until the last season of House of Cards is released, then renew for a month to watch that. I'm just going to go with Netflix DVDs and Amazon Prime.
