I though it was great. As creepy as the Purple Man was, Vincent D'Onofrio really made Daredevil stand out.
If you want to watch the better series first watch DD.Disclaimer: I'm not a comic book nerd.
Should I watch DD or JJ first?

Watched it all. It was OK. Nothing really spectacular about this. Luke Cage was stronger than her.
This is not something I'd brag about around the water cooler.

That's not to say JJ is bad. It's just not as good.
Maybe? They seemed to be an even match for strength.
Also... you think that was anal? Really? lol
Hmm. I'm liking JJ tons more, 5 episodes in, than I liked DD throughout. While not disappointed, I hoped DD was better than it was. it was still OK, but, eh.
I knew nothing about JJ going in, and I think it's great so far.
DD had some great moments, but I had major issues with some of the casting, pacing and dialogue. While D'Onofrio was good, the Kingpin role was a bit haphazard the way it was written.
I'm a few episodes in... it's pretty damn good. So people who are saying DD is much better.. you've convinced me to watch that one next.
Shit bounces and breaks off of Cage's skin. JJ...not so much. Bullets make her bleed. Cage puts a circular saw on his abdomen for fun.
It won't make a massive difference, but I'd recommend you stop now and switch the DD if you plan on watching both. They are chronological. Again, nothing huge, but towards the end of the season it will make more sense.

I think JJ is much stronger than the other guy. She can lift an Aston Martin, I doubt he could so easily. Also, he can't do her jump/fly thing. She just wasn't trying with him earlier.
Thanks guys, DD then JJ.
So far DD has been a lot better. That is, if you like action. Lots of fun fight scenes. JJ is definitely more story-oriented, and also hasn't captured me like DD did.
Can't approach JJ as a traditional "Superhero" show in the same sense as Avengers or X-Men. It's just not the direction they wanted to go. She's not a traditional superhero
This is much more of a Noir style direction that appeals to a much different audience. It's a slower burn and emphasizes an emotional threat over a physical one.
