If you can't find anything streaming that you like you're extremely picky. They don't have everything but their selection is getting pretty good.

I disagree. The streaming selection pretty much sucks. I'm generally not in the mood to watch really old movies that I used to watch while growing up.

Been using it on the PS3 since it first came out. Used it quite a bit this weekend.

I think that I nowadays watch more via instantly than via discs.

On a related topic... I wish netflix had an "instant watch only" subscription for half price or something. I don't really have an interest in getting mailed movies but would like to give the 360 streaming a go. Not really worth it for $10 though.

I can't think of much better ways to spend 10 dollars on video entertainment.

Do you work for Hulu or something?

I'm wireless which might be a problem when it comes to connecting to the netflix server.

I've never cared for the 802.11g wireless connection on my 40GB PS3, so I have it hooked up to a wireless DD-WRT bridge in 802.11n mode. No problems.

I was looking at getting a new wireless-n router off amazon, but would still need to somehow boost the PS3 signal. Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be what I wrote: You can boost your PS3's signal by connecting it via ethernet to an inexpensive DD-WRT wireless bridge. That way you don't use the crappy wireless in the PS3.

I don't think it's worth it so I must work for hulu? Get bent... It's a personal choice how and where I spend my money, and I don't have enough time to make $10/mo worth it when I don't plan on using the disc service. Hulu's pro service isn't worth a shit either.

I've been using a PS3 wireless to watch my Netfilx streaming content and it has worked pretty well. Way back when I first used it I had a couple of instances where the sound was out of sync but not for quite a while now.

Same here. I do watch the streaming and haven't ordered a disc in the mail for over a month, but the choices are mostly old movies or crap. I'm sure it has to do with their licensing cost etc.

I'd like to see more HD content too on the streaming. Seems most is SD which doesn't look very good.

I think that some of the complaints regarding the PS3 boil down to trouble with the wifi. The PS3 has 802.11g wifi but it sucks for some reason. I mean it's playable, but typically when I'm streaming anything above 480p I would encounter trouble with the wifi.

So I plugged in a direct CAT6 to my gigabit switch and it has worked flawlessly ever since.

Unfortunately wiring it in won't be possible for now. I just need to get a new setup.

I'm constantly streaming netflix to my PS3 (wireless) and never have had an issue. I watched every season of Buffy and Angel (one episode was not available for some reason) w/out a hitch. Every movie I've streamed has been spot-on as well.

If you have a solid wifi connection the streaming is fine, but everybody seems to have their wifi set up differently. If the OP has his wifi router in another room and has interference, that would explain the signal loss.

The only other thing you can really do in a situation like this is to try and optimize the wifi. If you are getting an interruption in service, you can always try switching to another wifi channel (for example switch to 1 or 2), sometimes going channel by channel can help to find which one is the most stable. Other than that you can try to boost up your wifi router signal, using a Hawking booster or a better antenna.

In my experience, their selection can be spotty. Yes there are a ton of movies on there, but when I had Netflix it seemed like everytime I remembered an old movie that was a classic or one of my favorites, it wouldn't be available for streaming.

That being said, I still think it's worth $10. I've been exposed to a few good movies that I otherwise would not have watched.

Watching Angle myself. I'm up to the middle of season 4. Never really had any issues using my ps3's wireless but if I'm watching something in HD it is pretty common for it to stop and lower the quality at some point during the movie. The movie selection is a bit spotty still but they do have a lot of tv shows.
