Yes it has ads. I dropped it before my free trial was even up because of the ads.Doesn't Hulu+ come with ads? I won't pay for it based just on that..and no, I don't watch cable either.

While I am not happy with the increase, it isn't all that bad. For 2 DVD and streaming it will be $20 a month. I recall renting dvd for $3 - $4 per dvd and I can easily go through 8 DVD a month through mail and then add the streaming too and it is still the best deal out there.

I don't really see how a dollar a day plus having to go and pick up and drop off the movie appeals to people
Isn't the Canadian version more expensive than the US and has far far less content?i'm gonna cancel mine. There is actually nothing on the canadian version. Its useless.
It's the same price, but with the exchange rate they have to pay a whole lot more, eh?Isn't the Canadian version more expensive than the US and has far far less content?
so you pay for satellite but netflix streaming is only worth $3/month to you? people really overestimate what EIGHT dollars a month is. that's at most an hour of work if you have it tough. a decent lunch or an ok dinner. less than 1 movie ticket...two new movie streams...if you have any taste whatsoever, and even if you don't, you can find enough on netflix streaming that will last you YEARS
There's nothing worthwhile on netflix streaming to keep me occupied for a month, let alone YEARS. 99.9% of it is pure crap that is just painful to watch.
I think the TV series alone are worthwhile.

It's not really obvious if it's HD or not (at least not on the ps3 unless you hit the button on the bluray remote to bring up the stream type after the movie is playing). There are some out there, and it looks good (although my cable box still does better hd). It seems like they are adding quite a few of them though, many documentaries and new movies are in HD now. Not too sure about TV series though, I never watch them.
The thing that pisses me off about their streaming is they will only have some shows licensed for a certain period so if you get into the show you can't finish it.
I was into season 2 I think of Babylon 5 and then the license ran out so I can only finish it if I get the DVDs or go to the torrents.
it says "HD" right next to the movie title when you scroll over it, if it is offered in HD.
It isn't spectacular, but damn good for streaming quality.
Cool, I'll take a look again.Yes it does
Thats probably part of the reason why they keep increasing costs. Most people I know share their streaming accounts with their whole family. For a while my wife was using her mom's account, and occasionally when more than 6 devices were connected, we would need to boot one off and rejoin ours. We eventually got our own account, but I can't imagine this loose policy being good for netflix, they must use a ton of bandwidth. Maybe it doesn't matter and they don't pay much for bandwidth, who knows. For those of you that just STREAM...try convincing a friend to let you stream off of their account. Not that I would do such a thing.
