Blockbuster total access is an amazing deal. I pay $10 a month and I usually get at least 6 movies with that, so it's already worth it. Then throw in the free game rental, a $7.99 value, which I can keep for up to 5 weeks if I want for only $1.25 more, and it's just ridiculous.

netflix sucks...go with blockbuster total acccess</end quote></div>

bah...

I've tried both, and I like netflix much better. Netflix just a better all around selection and quicker turnaround time.

Blockbuster's Total Access was kinda nice, except for the fact that the majority of the movies at my local blockbuster are straight to video b-rate crap mixed in with a couple of popular movies. Just see that alone reminded me why I hadn't been in a video store in nearly 10 years.

Also, blockbuster makes it out to be that you'll instantly get your next movies on your queue if you turn them in at the blockbuster store. Nope, they just mail it back like everything else. You'd think they'd have some sort of system in place, but then again they'd be losing more money that way.

I've tried a couple of movie services, and I can honestly say I prefer netflix the best. Best turnaround time, best selection, and usually the best quality in the discs. Out of the nearly 150 discs I've had from netflix, I've only had to send back 2 because of damage. Out of the 12 discs from Blockbuster, I've had to send three. Probably bad luck, but it just further strayed me away from blockbuster.

My point is, total access is nice, if your store has a decent selection.</end quote></div>

its really not that confusing.

you turn in the BB pre-paid envolope to the store. you then get to rent how many movies you turned it. they then send the movies back and they will send the next ones in the que.

also the one free rentel coupon is nice. you can rent games on it. though read somplace that they are thinking of allowing you to rent game swhen you bring back the pre-paid stuff. that would be great.
I think that would suck, because the game selection is already sparse enough. If you could return your mailers for games there would never be anything available. 1 game per month is enough for me as long as I can actually get a game I want to play.

I did that once with NetFlix, they actually DID return it. I had no idea what got put in the sleeve (still a point of contention whether it was me or the girlfriend that did it...) but they mailed it back to me without me even asking for it.

Yeah, they won't send it back.</end quote></div>

Yeah, about that.. if they expect me to return their movie without getting mine back, that won't happen.

Eye for an eye. Thanks for the Customer Service.

I think they do actually. You could always report it lost in the mail.

It varies for different blockbuster stores so don't hold me to this. But I'll give you an example.

Yesterday I rented COD 3 from blockbuster. It's a 5 day rental so it's due by July 2nd. Now that BB has no more late fees there is the "own it by date" which is July 7th. At this point they charge my credit card the full price of the game and I will own it. However, I can return the game at any point 30 days after the own it by date by paying a $1.25 restocking fee. So I can keep this game for over a month if I want.

I received a Tomb Raider game cd once when instead of the movie. Friends of mine have done the same thing and Netflix shipped back the DVD they sent in accidentally.
