Netflix woes

Much like the title says, i got Raging Bull a couple days ago and thought i mailed it back but when i opened the dvd player to watch my new netflix rental, lo and behold there is Raging Bull. i think i sent back The Punisher inadvertantly. Anyone have any experience with this? i already sent a email but will i be able to get my dvd back or will it be lost forever?

BTW, watching PI: Faith in Chaos... um yea not a good movie at all.....

I've tried both, and I like netflix much better. Netflix just a better all around selection and quicker turnaround time.

Blockbuster's Total Access was kinda nice, except for the fact that the majority of the movies at my local blockbuster are straight to video b-rate crap mixed in with a couple of popular movies. Just see that alone reminded me why I hadn't been in a video store in nearly 10 years.

Also, blockbuster makes it out to be that you'll instantly get your next movies on your queue if you turn them in at the blockbuster store. Nope, they just mail it back like everything else. You'd think they'd have some sort of system in place, but then again they'd be losing more money that way.

I've tried a couple of movie services, and I can honestly say I prefer netflix the best. Best turnaround time, best selection, and usually the best quality in the discs. Out of the nearly 150 discs I've had from netflix, I've only had to send back 2 because of damage. Out of the 12 discs from Blockbuster, I've had to send three. Probably bad luck, but it just further strayed me away from blockbuster.

My point is, total access is nice, if your store has a decent selection.

yea i haven't tried blockbuster yet. do they have a free trial period as well? i must say netflix hasn't disappointed me yet. i like having such a nice choice of movies plus it seems to be a quick turnaround

Only reason I have block buster over netflix is the e-coupons. I use them to rent Wii games in store which saves me some money ($7.99 per game). That way we can rent and play a Wii game and then decide if we want to buy it.

Netflix does have better turn around and selection.

Oh and for the person that said something about BB acting like returning in-store gets the next movie on your list instantly, you're a little confused. You bring your movie shipped by BB online into the store and exchange it for a movie they have In The Store. They then ship the movie you turned in back to BB and BB ships the next on your list. If the movie that's in the top of your queue is available in store, then you might get a "zero turnaround" time for that movie (but take it off your online queue quick or you might have 2 copies to watch in a day or two). Other wise you can turn your old movie in at the store for one from the store (the selection is normally meh). That way you have a movie in hand while they ship you the next one from your queue. It's not too bad actually.

they didn't take it...but they didn't do anything to her, she just left and went home to get the real disk...lol

its really not that confusing.

you turn in the BB pre-paid envolope to the store. you then get to rent how many movies you turned it. they then send the movies back and they will send the next ones in the que.

also the one free rentel coupon is nice. you can rent games on it. though read somplace that they are thinking of allowing you to rent game swhen you bring back the pre-paid stuff. that would be great.
