Check out practically networked.com, there has been some reports of poor performance with the netgear equipment.

I guess I would disagree with that. The review is here. The bottom line from the review is: "The connection seemed more robust than other products. Turning on WEP Encryption caused no real performance degradation. No surprises, but no delights pretty much sums up the MA401." If you look at the user reviews, it was recommended by 89% of the users and not recommended by 11% of the users, and if you look closer you see that there are only four negative reviews, two of which are from the same guy and the other two of which are actually positive reviews and recommendations, but the users apparently hit the wrong button to identify their review to the automated rating software.

I am not affiliated with Netgear or anything, I just think these are good cards at good prices and wanted to share the deal.

The only deal I listed that doesn't involve AmEx blue is deal # 2 -- wireless card plus two games for $50 after rebates. Get it all delivered to your door for that price. You may not even have to pay tax.

AMEX may not do PM for stores that already has a low price guarantee. YOu may want to double check with AMEX before doing this. I got one claim rejected when I bought something at Walmart was told that they have their LPG already. Just a thought.

Amex Blue = credit card by American Express. Among other spiffy things it lets you pricematch between stores.

Not all amex card offer pricematch, in fact MANY of them doesn't offer that feature.
here is the full list of card that offer pricematch(best value guarantee), only the BLUE card has no annual fee.. the annual fee for other amex cards offering pricematch can be substantial. like $80-$120 to even $300 for the amex platinum card.

The following American Express Card products participate in this program: Gold Card, Rewards Plus Gold Card, Platinum Card, Centurion Card, Fidelity American Express Gold Card, Fidelity American Express Platinum Card, Blue from American Express, American Express Credit Card, Optima Platinum Card, Platinum Delta Skymiles Card, Gold Corporate Card, Executive Corporate Card, Corporate Platinum Card, Corporate Centurion Card

Shopping for a wireless card too.

Notice that the pracically networked review did their tests with "WEP encryption: DISABLED" which is not much of a test.

Since I've heard elsewhere on this forum that intersil based cards like this one perform poorly with 128 bit encryption, I think I'll keep on shopping.

i have the netgear 802.11b card. it is not bad at all, at least much better than the linksys card. in fact, the user rating on the netgear is quite positive in practicallynetworked.com.

have wireless access on the campus network- will also be using a laptop, but mostly the handheld comp.
